October 7, 2013: Improving our number sense by learning about divisibility rules for 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, and 10. In class, we made an eight-page book with these rules, then we used the book in our lesson to decide if numbers could be divisible by these common numbers. Finally, students showed what they learned by completing a Google Form (which was e-mailed to them) as the assignment. The assignment was done in class so there is no outside of class homework. The lesson slideshow and the 8 page book can be downloaded here.
