Students in the eighth grade were introduced to school weblockers, a digital storage system, today. Seventh graders will be introduced to the weblockers on Wednesday. The students have unlimited storage on the internet for their computer files (word documents, spreadsheets, powerpoint presentations, images, videos, pdf files, etc.) The weblockers are accessed with a username and password. These weblockers may eliminate the need for flash drives, and are another tool to organize school work. Students can also set up their personal calendars to track due dates and use the message board as a collaboration tool. The weblockers are new to our school this year.
The first rotation of seventh grade exploratories ends September 24. Make sure you have submitted both of your math/computer assignments by the end of the explore rotation. Problems?? See Mrs. Royer or Mrs. Darling.
Incomplete assignments will result in the student receiving a 30 minute detention. Detentions must be served according to the student handbook. If you do not want a detention, simply do your work as assigned.
Eighth grade students are responding to some math assignments electronically through the use of the gaggle school e-mail accounts. Seventh graders will receive their accounts in the future. This is just one way students are explaining their thinking about math strategies.
